Es scheint, dass die Stadt gut befestigt war, da sie zwei Jahre lang von den Athenern belagert wurde. Zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts waren Teile eines Turms auf dem H\u00fcgel \u00fcber der Befestigung zu sehen.
